Day 1
I’m here in the space more nervous about the portrait class I’m going to deliver tonight than working on the exhibition but I know that things have to be set up. The tech has to be tested and the paper has to be be in place so i can start drawing in the morning.
My friend Marcus Orlandi, whose exhibition was in this space last week has done an excellent job of repainting the walls and making everything look amazing . A real commitment to leaving the place better than when you found it. Now here I am to create the clutter that I need before the big tidy on Thursday.
I did a rough lesson plan for the drawing session and it went down well. Most of the regulars to the life drawing were looking forward to the space because it’s air-conditioned. I’m glad I could make it more comfortable for the session. Anyway, I’m looking forward the second session where I can use my own methodology in drawing and hope the get on with it.
